ANTICIPATING

The big chop has been on my mind for so long. It has become one of those things that not a day can go by without me thinking about it. I stay in mirrors picturing how I would look with my dear relaxed ends chopped. I looked in the mirror today and just thought GOODNESS GRACEOUS I think it would look pretty exotic. I think it is sexy to have short hair. What makes it even sexier is the fact that not all women have the guts to do this (and I mean NO HOMO in everything I'm typing! *lol*). I still don't know when my big day will be ladies, but I did search for a natural hair salon in Arizona and I've heard of it before, I hear its really good! I just saved all of the information for future references. WHELP. hope you all have a fun & safe weekend. I have a date tonight with the boyfriend :D. --xoxo,'brosia

I hadn't been to StarBucks in over a month (attempting to lay off the coffee). I ordered a tall cinnamon dolce latte, ummm. IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE A TALL TO ME! My starbucks people, what do you think, do the cups look smaller to you?

When Boredom Strikes

Update from The Office (1)

Good day everyone. I'm in the office with nothing to do until I go to training next week, that will last a month. Sure, when I get back from training I will be swamped with work but I think that is better than just sitting around for 8 hours. In case you are wondering, I work in an eligibility office for family assistance. . . the employees are real cool but they all say how nerve wrecking the job is. I've been here a little over 2 months now and I do not doubt at all what they say because I know it can be over whelming but the way they makes things sound LOL is like wow is it really that bad. I think a lot of people just don't want to do their job, I mean you signed up for the program so do it, you know? As a former FIDM student, I know what it feels like to be loaded with work that is due in a short period of time, I actually feel better when I have a lot of work on my hands. . . makes me feel like I'm actually earning my money, not just having it given to me. Some people think that things should just come to them with no effort at all. I won't even get all into it because that will just be messy of me, but I can already spot the lazy folk in this building. This lady thought she was going to take advantage of me and have me do her job-- I THINK NOT! *in B. Scott's voice-- OH NO MA'AM!* Hahahaa!

I co washed lastnight with TresEmme` and Nature's oil shine spray, I used that with it because of all the natural oils in there, it's wonferful! I let that sit for maybe an hour and a half and then washed it out with cool water. My hair is starting to get super curly in the middle, like spirals and then the sides are like super tight. I love washing my hair just so I can feel the growth--ANY WHO, back on the co-wash, after I washed it out I lightly towel dried and then added some Motion's leave in conditioner (the spray kind) and shea butter [FOCUSING ON THE EDGES] because this seems to be the area that is prone to breakage in most people, since it gets forgotten. Also, my edges/kitchen seem to get dry before the rest of my hair.. so my edges is my focal point. Oh yea, let's not forget about the ends and the line of demarcation. Pretty much, my whole head gets moisturized thoroughly, I can't afford to forget any area. My point of talking about the co-wash is basically because my twist out is poppin` today! Like, I don't know what I did differently but it is extra moiste and volumnous.

I'm suppose to be hitting the gym this weekend with my boyfriend, I told him that I feel like I'm packing on a little extra since eating all that meat during the holidays, don't like it lol. (WOW! as I'm typing the lady I was talking about in the first paragraph just called me over the loud speaker, SERIOUSLY! is she serious? smdh) BACK TO THE TOPIC, my bf is a crazy trainer, when I was in LA the apartment building had an amazing gym and when ever he would come to visit me we'd be in there for only like an hour each night, I kid you all not, I had results about 3 days later. So I know summer will creep up on us Arizonians fast so I'm definitely getting on it. My cousin bought be a bunch of new belly button rings too so I'm excited for the warm weather! ;) || ♥ XOXO'BROSIA

You all are making me nervous! lol. I've been getting the question on when I will be doing this. I was thinking around June since that would be 9months of transitioning. I figured it would have grown much by then (obviously not hang time but a comfty short length that I could twist) I have these butterflys in my stomach, a nervous sensation comes across me everytime I think about it. In this case, I'm scared because I have never had short hair nore have I ever cut my hair more than 3 inches at one time. || TTYL. ||XOXO'BROSIA,

THAT KIND OF TUESDAY!

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the comments on yesterday’s post. I feel so happy to be able to inspire many of you. I am not trying to sound like a hippie—but there has been nothing but peace and positivity here and I love it. More people are discovering my blog and actually find it of interest J so I’m feeling even more encouraged to give you all what you want. Speaking of which, on a video I posted a little over a month ago on youtube… some people took it the wrong way. I was getting all kinds of crazy messages saying that I was rude and not nice to my viewers. I was shocked to see something like that, I wasn’t trying to be rude in any way. I admit that I had gotten a bit frustrated and gave YT a break but in no way was I trying to be mean. You all that know me & that has been keeping up with me via the blog or twitter know that I’m pretty sweet lol.

Expect the Unexpected

Goodmorning, I wasn't going to say anything about this-- but I thought it would be best so I will always be able to refer back to this for encouragement.

Sunday morning I woke up and began getting ready for church, I decided to check my horoscope for the day and it said something about sticking to my decision because I would feel gained up on. Usually when I see something like that I disregard it and not even think about what it means. Later that day it snuck up on me. A few family members and myself went out to eat after church. After eating we were all just sitting there talking and all of a sudden my mom says "let me relax your hair, you know it won't burn if I do it" then my aunt goes "exactly why don't you want to get relaxers anymore?" I have explained this so much to them.. My scalp is scared so badly from my last relaxer and I actually don't like the way my hair looks bone straight and then she says "it actually takes away from your looks" CRAAAZY RIGHT I would have never expected these comments from my own family. I spoke up, I said you know what.. your opinion and everyone elses opinion doesn't affect me in any way. You know I have never been one that was like ooh I hope they like it or I'm not gonna do _____ because I don't think they will like it. I am probably the most confident and secure person at the table. [Which is absolutely true.] What I do to my hair doesn't affect anymody at this table, its definitely not hurting anyone.

I'm just cutting it right therr. Some african american women are stuck on 1 look. As soon as someone looks different there has to be a problem. I appreciate all of the support from my viewers and subscribers. You all know how I am, I wil not let that break me down into getting a relaxer OH NO MA'AM! I am not saying any specific look is better I am saying that if I make a decision to do something then key words: IT IS MY DECISION. I don't question women on why they wear wigs & weaves. I don't question when others dye their hair. So why am I being interviewed? Going natural is a big step, many don't do it because they don't see beauty outside of straight hair. Remember, back in 07 I was so scared to go natural but I really wanted to. I got my but on youtube and hair care forums and finally got the courage to do it. AGAIN that you all for the support, I can't say it enough.. I really appreciate it. Anyone else whom is on this journey, keep on riding let the neg. comments be encouragement.

Co-Wash & How To: twist

I co-washed with TresEmme` Moisture Conditioner and 1 Egg. As stated in the video, this is my first time putting egg in my hair. The egg is suppose to help with breakage and make your hair stronger-- I also hear that egg will give it body. TIP: Wash the egg out with cool water-- I used warm water when I washed it out and I guess it kind of cooked (ROTFL!) so I had a few pieces that I had to pick out :/ on the second video you can see a little piece of it in the back *hahaahaa!*
